Having been a high level athlete for a significant portion of my life I have generally kept myself very fit and I am no stranger to pushing my body to its limits. However, when I started University my physical health took a backseat as I wanted to focus on my degree. After a while I got unhappy with my physique and wanted a change. I tried a number of personal trainers and diet plans but could not find one that stuck. Then I found Ali and started training Calisthenics. The workouts were very tough and at times I wanted to give up but Ali continued to push me and once I realised how much improvement I had made in terms of my rep range and my skill capabilities I was hooked. Not only is Calisthenics really fun but Ali has showed me that it can be catered to each individual and the goals that they want to achieve. I don't think I would ever go back to generic gym training.

Before I met Ali, I was working out a lot but I didn’t know what was fundamentally good for me. Ali introduced me to Calisthenics - something I had never heard of before. He showed me a range of body weight exercises starting with pull ups, push ups and some core exercises. To be honest, at the time I had never done a pull up and was not sure where to start. Ali introduced me to so many different techniques which helped me. For example Aussie pull ups helped me massively with my grip. Over the last couple of months I’ve been slowly but surely progressing and can now do pull ups, swing on monkey bars (something I never used to be able to do) and my overall health has improved. Adding to this when I first starting training with Ali, I was in a depressive state and Ali has helped me be more confident and feel that anything is possible!

You have a really great attitude towards class teaching and I was impressed with your ability to address individual needs while also maintaining the group dynamic. That sort of attention to detail, as well as knowing everybody's name, in combination with your acumen and conviviality, make for a fantastic class.

I really enjoyed the class. For me, the major added value comes from the fact that Ali takes notice of each person involved, helping them improve their performance by understanding their capabilities. Not everyone has the same age, strength, or physical condition and Ali took this into consideration when giving advice to get the best out of all of us.

Best class I've done at Jetts so far and loved being able to utilise the rig space outside. Will be great to try the intermediate class.
